Once again this summer, Dawson College’s Centre for Training & Development (CTD), through its f/start team, is offering an exciting photography camp for teenagers in Montreal.
f/start aims to provide young Montrealers between the ages of 12 and 17 with a completely unique and high quality summer camp experience. It is our mission to bring together adolescents to challenge, encourage and motivate them, stimulate their imagination, and inspire creative freedom while maintaining a total commitment to artistic growth.
The camp offers digital photography at both beginners' and advanced levels. You have the option of registering for only one week, though we recommend that you register for a Digital Level 1 week, followed by a Digital Level 2 week.
The Camp runs weekly from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays, and includes hands-on activities, time in computer labs, on-site photography opportunities and outings in the Montreal area (e.g. museum visits, park outings, etc.)
Every Friday at 4:00 p.m. we hold an exhibition/slideshow of students’ work.
Cost: $279.07 for one week registration 5.0% GST: $13.95 7.5% QST: $21.98 Total Cost (taxes included): $315.00

The camp is divided into alternating weekly blocks starting with Digital Level 1 followed by Digital Level 2. Weeks 1, 3 and 6 offer an introductory level in digital photography, while weeks 2 and 4 are designed for a more advanced level. Students who attended f/start photography camp previously or have equivalent experience may enroll directly in Level 2; they can also take Level 1 if they wish to refresh their digital photography skills. Digital Advanced, week 5, offers students who completed levels 1 and 2 an opportunity to learn and practice different photography genres.
