Welcome to the Office of Instructional Development

The Office of Instructional Development supports the academic mission of the college, by promoting effective, high quality instruction, through a range of teacher support services and evaluation activities.

The OID responds to the professional needs of teachers by providing:
•    Personalized consultation on matters related to effective instruction and learning;
•    Contextualization and breakdown of competency-based education and implications for teaching;
•    Training and support in the use of computers and educational technologies;
•    Professional development opportunities for groups and individuals; and
•    Support for faculty research activities.

The OID also promotes high quality education through the coordination and oversight of regular:
•    Teacher evaluations; and
•    Student assessments across the disciplines.

It is our aim to understand, and flexibly respond to the changing needs of teachers, in an era of rapid technological change and steady advance in pedagogical theory. Your insight and participation are crucial to this process.
